This post's for Mark

I haven't blogged in a decade it seems.

But yesterday as we were walking into a building he said, this is something to blog about or no one would believe we came here.

So, where did we go you ask?

I'll start at the beginning.

I have been a closet Utah Jazz fan for over a decade! I will watch a game if it's on and no one else is too terribly interested in another tv show. Which is rarely. The other night Mark came into the room while I was watching a particularly sad game . . . when they played against the Lakers. It was their first loss in 8 games. He sat down and watched a little while. He couldn't help but tease and talk as if he'd never seen a basketball game EVER! So, I'll talked to him a little about the whole "game".

Then I tell him in a different life I would LOVE to be a referee for a high pressure game. (I use to ref. for college games on the side while I was going to college, nothing big or anything). He couldn't believe that.

So the next day, he calls me from work laughing, couldn't get out the sentence he was laughing so much. Finally asks me if I want to go to a BYU basketball game. I said with who? I was sure it wasn't with him. Afterall, he is NOT a sports guy. He said him of course. As my valentine gift. I said of course. . . . he then says where do you want to sit? I promptly said NOT in the student section, I don't want to have to paint my face blue and stand and cheer the whole game. Suprised I had any clue what that all meant, he bought the tickets.

So, Sat night. we walk into the Marriot center for the basketball game. I loved every minute of it. Even Mark saying "what just happened" a couple of times and "why is everyone cheering" a few other times. it was great.

like Mark says no one would believe I got my wife basketball tickets for valentine's day. It was a great game, I forgot how much I love a live game, and being able to watch all the dynamics they don't capture on the tv.

A great Valentine's day gift overall!

What do you think my chances of going to an actual Jazz game is? I think I would be shaking the whole first half!
