Tips for unpackers

ok, so if you are to the point where you think I can't think of anything I haven't unpacked yet, we've got all we need already and there is still a stack of boxes in every room. . . Well, this is the perspective you need to take.

"Wow! This is like Christmas, we have tons of boxes left and don't know what could possibly be in them." And opend to your enjoyment. When you realize it's a box of dirty laundry and the laundry soap at the bottom, be excited, because you now have something else you get to do with all your free time. More laundry and that extra soap, because you've already gone to the store and bought some, because your other dirty laundry was to the ceiling. Just a perk.

Your welcome in advance for the wonderful little tip.

Like Barb says it's all in the way you think about the situation. Think positive.

Today

Ok, this is what happened today.

The girls went to their first day at school today. I love Brooke's teacher. She is really good. Autumn's teacher is very organized, has a good plan of action of what she really wants to have happen. I love to know what to expect.

Mark got his cell phone stuff figured out. He now has a utah phone number, so now he can start drumming up carpet business.

i got to talk to Cody today, he helped me figure out the whole cingular plan. Just figuring out our cell phone options. Talked about how much we love government red tape!

Got a call from Utah basic health, got the inital contact underway.

Celebrated Spencer's birthday. Had the worst cake I have ever eaten, I don't know why, I guess this oven is different. It was dried out and hocky puck like. It didn't rise at all. Gross, but he loved the frosting.

Got a call from Linsay my cousin who invited me to a babyshower for her sister my other cousin so I was able to go up to visit them, Jenni so kindly gave me a ride, cuz I don't know my way around the corner let alone clear up to a different town. It was so so nice. I got to see Linz, Brackon, who smiles at the drop of a hat, Shelley, her husband Jordan their little Chantel who is a little model. Shay shay, and little Jack, oh, my gosh, he snuggle right in to my arm, and Ryan. He was just marvelous. He was just so wonderful, he will be such a good dad. he's fun and happy!

Came home and Mark had bought me a babyswing off a link of craigslist that mom sent me. We only spent 15 bucks! AWESOME, it's like almost new! I am happy.

Big day, I am tired and ready for bed!

We are so, so blessed. I am a happy momma tonight.

Goodbye's downright stink!

I hate them, I hate them, I do not like them Amy I am!

Today I went to register my kids for school. i about broke down when I had to fill out the "emergency contact" portion. I had to get 2 people besides the parents. Holy Cow! I don't know even one I can truly trust let alone 2.

At home I can think of 5 good ones, and 15 if I had to stretch it out. but man, it was a real eye opener of just how alone we are on the adventure.

WE (family) can do hard things!

Oh, my, oh my,

I really am in shock of where I am today.
Yesterday we had some true support of those we love! And we packed up all that belongs to us into a moving truck in 12 hours. We left everyone we love and drove down the road. (the size of the truck was 7' by 7' by 26') Mark went and measured it, because we weren't sure it was big enough.

This morning 1/2 of my heart drove down the road on their way to Utah (Mark, Autumn, and Brookey). In a caravan full of craziness. I am still in almost unbelief. We had so much help yesterday. And we got so much done! Like one of our dear friends said when I said I can't believe we got it all in. "I guess the lord knows how to pack a moving truck." Mark and those that helped walked in and out of that truck probably 10 miles worth of steps. And I am here to tell you there is NO more room in there. The last few things, like the bbq, high chair, the baby swing, and the garbage can and vacuum. Well, they re-packed it a few different times, because it wasn't fitting. But Mark and those that helped DID get it in! ( It would be appropritate to let your jaw drop to the floor )

At one point Mark said if there is something we can't find, check inside the washer and dryer, because we didn't even waste that space.

I am really not sure if that all really actually happened. We had help from so many people. We know how to get something done! I am here to tell you! WE ARE SO BLESSED!
